Round Barn Guitars began production just before Covid began to show up. The original intent was to produce a few instruments and get the word out to classical guitar players that they could purchase a quality hand-crafted guitar for a reasonable price. Covid and the shutdowns made this a difficult strategy to follow. However, being shut down in a shop at home was an ideal situation to continue to build guitars.
Ideally, we should have a representative model for each of the different options we offer. We’re close to that with two different top bracing patterns for the standard size instrument, a flamenco, an expanded size “larger but not jumbo”, and a double top.
